An enigma called SREE HARSHA - 2

 Finally we prepared ourselves to face our first ever examination in Engineering, the intention of this exam was to reshuffle the entire CSE first years into two sections one for relatively bright students, other section for relatively dull students. Some how all of us fared well in the exam, worth mentioning about Deepu’s first rank ,but no comments on his rank, as all of us know what made him get the first rank. Pro- tempore the topper is Mr.Deepu. Of course immediately from the next exam Harsh started fleeing away with first rank.

 Harsh means not only a ranker or eager -beaver, there was also another side of him which slept for almost 17-18 years. One very fine morning our EDC lecturer Achari was seriously taking class about some electronic stuff and deepu was eagerly waiting for someone (something).Guess what! It was for interval and Deepu was die-hard fan of our College Canteen’s Samosa, especially the blood-red tomato sauce (of course, the content of tomato in that sauce wasequal to the content of lead in ‘lead pencil’!).No sooner Mr. Achari left our class then Deepu fled away to canteen with his side-kick Mani. Meanwhile Shivs and Sandy observed that Harsh is eager to say something, they are sure that he was going to say something interesting, but awaited until all of us gathered at our meeting point ‘Verandah’ .No one was interested to listen, but just lent our ears, he expressed his interest in one of our classmates, fortunately that classmate is a girl, so no problem with the Indian laws. Don’t get excited he didn’t express it to her, but to us. Of course we (except Harsh) were  not dumb-heads to pass over his likeliness towards her right from day 1.This was no surprise for us in his case because, any guy who was not into co-ed system and boarded in hostel for eons gets excited even with the slightest interaction with a girl. This is a universal law, it’s same for any homosapien and our Harsh is no exception (If you agree that he is human after all.)  . Sreek started kidding him regarding her and initially remaining of us used to sulk, but it took no time for us to start kidding him. Days passed so fast, we reached out final exams. We studied independently, wrote exams and dispatched ourselves for holidays. The day we got result was very special day; all of us got good result. The mind –blowing news was that Harsh and Sreek were in the college top ten, she ias also very much in the top ten, another mind-boggling news was that Harsh topped the college .Rest of the guys’ result was also not trivial. The first year completed and the good result behoved all of us to do well in the coming years. 

                                                                                                                                                                                            

An enigma called SREE HARSHA - 1

During the very first days of college we(Sreekanth ,deepu,sandy, Shiva n I) were not ‘we’ as we don’t know each other, but all of us (except one guy) individually noticed one thing. A person with thick mustache, stiff posture, carrying an executive bag and interrupting teachers whenever they go wrong. Whenever teachers  do mistake , the root cause of their irritation ,anger, anguish, torment…whatever may be the emotion, it is SREE HARSHA , as he is the one who used to pinpoint the very mistake even before the teachers does it . We didn’t even know his name those days, but it took no time for us to learn his name because of his congenital nature of getting recognition where ever he go.

                       Those days neither of us knew that we are going to be friends (best ever), but the destiny. Slowly with in few days, a small group has taken shape .During intervals we used to gather at the verandah and confabulate about our petty deeds at school. It is worth mentioning that Harsh was from Sainik School, confined in that world for almost seven years, the rest of the world was a bit new for him. Harsh was completely new to the co-education system, of course he claims that he studied in co-ed school during his primary education, but we hardly believed it!
